It's no surprise that more and more people are choosing to move to regional Australia to seek a new lifestyle. New ABC TV series Movin' to the Country explores just this, showcasing the people who are reinventing what regional life in Australia looks like, challenging perceptions and stereotypes. Each week the hosts head off to a different region to tell the stories of folk looking to make a good living from their little patch of paradise. While it’s not all beer and peaches, despite struggles and setbacks, they’ve never looked back. The six-part series will air each Friday evening at 7.30pm on ABC TV, starting tonight Friday 2 July. Be sure not to miss episode 2 on Friday 9 July when the show heads to South East Tasmania. |
