| | | | Key figure of the day | Winner of the 11h stage of the Tour de France 2021 between Sorgues and Malaucène, Wout van Aert is the second Belgian rider to win a "Ventoux stage" in the history of the race. Another Belgian rider won the very last time the Tour de France visited the Géant de Provence: in 2016, Thomas De Gendt took the win on the 12th stage between Montpellier and Le Chalet-Reynard. This is the first time a Belgian rider succeeds at another Belgian rider on this mythical stage. France did better in 1951, 1952 and 1955: three wins in a row with Louison Bobet, Jean Robic and Louison Bobet again. Italy also achieved to win two consecutive times, with Eros Poli in 1994 and Marco Pantani in 2000.
