Hello,

Today we bring you a round-up of the headlines from over the weekend.

Detectives investigating the murder of Lee Dawson, who died as a result of stab wounds on Friday, have now arrested a seventh person.

The 32-year-old man, from Preston, was arrested on suspicion of murder after six other men aged between 18 and 29 were arrested earlier in the weekend.

Lancashire Road Police stopped a vehicle due to a light defect yesterday, but found numerous other breaches of the law inside. Two passengers were in possession of cannabis, with one even being carried in the cargo area on a deck chair.

And another fire broke out in Preston yesterday evening. Firefighters were called to a derelict pub, the former Shawes Arms on London Road, shortly after youths were spotted there.

Plus, if the cute factor will help ease you into the new week, take a look at the dogs and cats being cared for by the RSPCA Preston that are up for adoption and desperate for loving owners.

Check out all these stories and others you might have missed from over the weekend below.

Thanks for reading,

Julia
