Important Reminder: Form I-9

Federal law requires that every employer who hires an individual for employment in the United States must complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.

VCSU requires employees to stop by Employee Services to verify their identification documents for their I-9 forms on or prior to their first day of employment or by a notary public in the absence of a university official. This step is mandatory to ensure they are legally eligible to work.

Watterson to talk of Greece at museum Thursday

Mike Watterson will speak on “Greece, Athens, Aegean Island Cruise and Western Turkey” at the Barnes County Museum on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. Open to the public free of charge, Watterson’s presentation is part of season 19 of the Barnes County Historical Society Lecture Series.

A high school science teacher in Valley City prior to his retirement, Watterson and his wife, Randi, are avid travelers. He’ll cover their most recent trip in this lecture.

Wellness Fair to be held in Student Center on March 1

VCSU Health Services, with support from Sanford Health and Essentia Health, will hold its annual Wellness Fair on Wednesday, March 1, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. in the Student Center.

More than 20 sponsors and vendors will present information and services. Participants will be able to obtain free samples and literature, register for door prizes, and do fitness testing, blood pressure monitoring and body composition analysis.

The event is open to the public free of charge.
