VCSU Faculty and Staff Newsletter, The Hotline! | Aug 20th, 2018
This week's Hotline! includes the following articles: • Retirement incentive to be offered • Century Club to kick off Viking athletics Tuesday night • Viking sports update • What’s happening at VCSU and around Valley City…
The VCSU Hotline! online newsletter is published every Monday. Deadline to submit articles (photos encouraged) is 3 p.m. the Friday before publication. Retirement incentive to be offered Per policy V100.01 (3), I am declaring an interim retirement incentive policy which will only be available for the current academic year. Incentives will be offered for retirements that save the campus at least $10,000. If you qualify, the incentive is 50 percent of your current salary; please discuss with Wesley Wintch, vice president for business affairs, and complete the paperwork by Oct. 15, 2018. To figure out the potential savings your retirement offers, please consider these two possibilities: (1) Replacement, hiring at an entry-level rate, based on VCSU salary comparisons, or (2) Discuss with your supervisor whether a reorganization in the department might result in no replacement for your position.          – Margaret Dahlberg, Interim President Century Club to kick off Viking athletics Tuesday night The VCSU Century Club is hosting its annual Fall Kickoff event for Viking athletics on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the Valley City Town & Country Club.
