Vehicles damaged by concrete chunks dumped onto I-474 by vandals in Peoria County

PEORIA -- Twice in the past week, vehicles have been damaged by concrete chunks dumped by vandals onto Interstate 474, police said.

PEORIA - While open spaces, golf courses and walking and biking trails remain open with restrictions, almost every other service, program and facility run by the Peoria Park District will stay shut down at least through July 3., officials said Tuesday.

BELLEVUE -- A woman was held at gunpoint for four hours Monday by an ex-boyfriend who wanted them to get back together, police said."This was an extremely delicate and dangerous situation," said Peoria County Sheriff Brian Asbell.

GALESBURG - When the Broadview Inn and Restaurant swiftly closed and was boarded up earlier this month, the circumstances of its closure were unclear.
