Member Protection Information Officer Course

The Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) training is a course specifically for people who wish to be an MPIO for their State Sporting Association or Club.

An MPIO is the central contact for any concerns or information about harassment, sexual abuse or inappropriate behaviour. They ensure your club handles complaints in an appropriate and consistent manner.

The MPIO course comprises of two stages: an online learning module and a face-to-face workshop.

Date: 12 August 2015

Cyber Safety in Sport

Sporting clubs have an obligation to ensure that they maintain a safe physical and emotional environment for its members.  This includes members and individuals using cyber safety and the using of information and communication technology in a responsible and safe way.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is being offered by the Department of Sport and Recreation at a reduced cost.

This nationally recognised qualification is useful for coaches and officials seeking to deliver or assess competency based training.

The course will assist you to improve the skills necessary to create a meaningful learning environment through topics covered. 

These include:

Learning Program Design Assessor Training Delivery and Foundation

Ping Pong Tables for Public Use

The Town has recently installed five Public Outdoor Ping Pong tables at various locations. You can find them at the following parks:

John McMillan Reserve, East Victoria Park Houghton Park, East Victoria Park Hawthorne Park, Victoria Park Rayment Park, Lathlain John Bissett Reserve, Carlisle

Paddles and balls will initially be provided at each location but users are encouraged to bring their own.

Financial Assistance

KidSport allows eligible youth aged five to 18 years to apply for financial assistance towards club fees. For more information please contact the Town on 9311 8114 or send us an email.
