Guten Tag John Do, | eine weitere Woche mit Ausgangs- und Kontaktbeschränkungen hat begonnen und inzwischen herrscht fast überall Maskenpflicht in Geschäften, Behörden und dem öffentlichen Personennahverkehr. Dass sich die Kommunikation in Zeiten der Pandemie verändert, bemerken wir natürlich an uns selbst. Doch dieses Gefühl lässt sich auch mit Zahlen belegen. So hat Vonage, ein Anbieter von Kommunikationslösungen aus und über die Cloud, einmal die Nutzungszeit seiner bereitgestellten Videodienste untersucht: Branchenübergreifend gab es allein im Monat März einen Zuwachs von 232 Prozent - Spitzenreiter sind Anbieter von Telemedizin (Plus 727 (!) Prozent). Neben dem Gesundheitswesen gehört auch der Bildungssektor zu den Wachstumstreibern digitaler (Video-) Kommunikation. Zog man vielleicht in der Vergangenheit Präsenz-Seminare, -Vorträge, -Kongresse und -Events den virtuellen Pendants vor, weil man sich nicht mit der Technik auseinandersetzen wollte, hat man heute gar keine andere Wahl (mehr). Auch bisherige Verweigerer befassen sich inzwischen ganz selbstverständlich mit E-Tutorials, Webinaren & Co. und erkennen: Es funktioniert!
