Vince McMahon will pay $1.7 million to settle SEC charges on hush money agreements

World Wrestling Entertainment co-founder Vince McMahon will pay more than $1.7 million to settle charges that he failed to disclose payment agreements to two women who made sexual misconduct allegations against him, the Securities and Exchange Commission announced.

The SEC alleges McMahon's undisclosed payments, one $3 million payment to a former employee and a $7.5 million payment to a female independent contractor, caused material misstatements in the WWE's 2018 and 2021 financial statements.
