Virgin Australia's CEO race is down to two names, with chief customer and digital officer Paul Jones is the last man standing internally for the prestigious role of running the nation’s second biggest airline.

Nine Entertainment’s management team has declined to confirm whether it publicly backs chief executive Mike Sneesby as the company tries desperately to move on after the departure of long-serving chair Peter Costello.  

And the big end of the retail property market is back in business. Funds manager QIC in talks to sell a western Sydney shopping centre for about $900m which would be the city's largest deal in 20 years.
