Hi John,

2017 is not a good year for Australian telcos if news coming out yesterday for two of the biggest local companies in that space is anything to go by.

Australia's fourth biggest telecommunications company Vocus has issued a second profit warning in six months, downgrading its earnings forecast by almost $100 million and causing its shares to fall by close to 30%.

Meanwhile, wholesale access services on the National Broadband Network have climbed past two million nationally, and in regional areas of Australia, Telstra maintains its dominance, but has progressively lost ground to competitors in their take-up of the wholesale services.

Windows 10 corporate adoption is accelerating despite IT administrators' concerns about application compatibility, need for user training, and manual migration effort.

US company Procore Technologies, a leading provider of cloud-based construction management software, has opened its first APAC office in Sydney’s CBD.

Square Payment Systems has completed a year in Australia and has serviced more than 60,000 merchants with its Square Point of Sale, Square Reader, Square Invoices, Employee Management, Virtual Terminal, E-Commerce, and Payment APIs.

And of course, there's plenty more so for all the news visit www.itwire.com.

Have a great day!
