Vodafone Australia has finally been bitten by the NBN bug and announced that it will follow the example of its Kiwi counterpart and offer homes and businesses a fixed broadband service before the end of 2017 to complement its mobile network.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has told a Senate estimates hearing that only 58% of households — 4.9 million — completed this year's census online, lower than what was expected.

MYOB says it has migrated the Azure part of its AccountRight accounting system from Singapore to Australia with no interruption to the service.
