Give Children in Concord Who Experienced Abuse a Chance at a Brighter Future On a cold winter day, 8-year-old Liam bundles up his two younger sisters, placing one in the stroller, and starts walking through the snow to the nearby police station. His mom hasn’t returned in two days, their living conditions are deplorable, there is no electricity, and what little food there is has been spoiling in the refrigerator.
Children like Liam who experience abuse and neglect struggle with the impacts of domestic violence, substance misuse, and mental health issues. They need adults like you to speak up for their best interests.
Pledge to make a life-changing difference for a child in your community by becoming a CASA volunteer advocate. CASA volunteer advocates get to know a child and the important people in that child’s life to provide vital information to help a judge make decisions based on the child’s best interests. They make sure that a child has access to the support and services they need and, finally, that the child is placed in a safe home.
You can give your community’s most vulnerable children a brighter future. Please join us at a virtual info session focused on Greater Concord and Merrimack County on February 24 at 7 p.m.
