Vor gut 25 Jahren verwandelten Riccardo und Silvia Baracchi die familieneigene, von Weinbergen umgebene, Villa aus dem 17. Jahrhundert in ein kleines Luxushotel, das heute zu den Top-Hotels dieser Welt zählt und nebenbei auch noch ein Michelin Stern ausgezeichnetes Restaurant beherbergt. Mit dem verwirklichten Traum ihres Luxushotels, entschlossen sich die Baracchis einer alten Familientradition, dem Weinbau, wieder mehr Aufmerksamkeit zu widmen und bewirtschafteten die familien-eigenen Weinberge neu und neben dem Hotel entstand eine moderne Kellerei. Damit Sie die außergewöhnliche Qualität der Baracchi Weine kennenlernen können, haben wir diese Woche 2 Weine aus dem Sortiment zu einem deutlich reduzierten Kennenlernpreis anzubieten. Der 2014er "O'Lillo" bietet sich als Einsteiger in die Baracchi Welt. Er besteht zu gleichen Anteilen aus Sangiovese, Cabernet, Merlot und Syrah. Er wurde auschließlich im Stahl ausgebaut und kommt daher klar und frisch, aber wunderbar rund gemacht, aus der Flasche. Beim zweiten Vertreter handelt es sich um den reinsortigen 2012er Merlot "Smeriglio", von dem gerade mal 5000 Flachen gemacht werden und der wie sein kleiner Bruder nach einem Falken benannt ist. Dieser Wein wurde 12 Monate in Barrique und nochmals 6 Monate in der Flasche ausgebaut. Intensiv Rubinrot in der Farbe, begeistert er mit Aromen von roten Früchten, Pflaume, Vanille und Kaffee.
