It's been a busy month in the currency world, with the UK General Election dominating headlines in a race to 10 Downing Street. After encouraging early gains for the pound off the back of the UK election announcement, things took a turn for the worse, ending at a 10-week low against the euro.

Meanwhile, the White House press team continue to work overtime, with May seeing FBI Director James Comey being sacked, sending the US dollar lower against major counterparts.

Over in France, Macron and the euro were on a high after En Marche! stormed to victory over Marine Le Pen in the French election, with the euro hitting some serious gains against the US dollar and Sterling.
