Victoria’s Secret Angel, Stella Maxwell, is November's digital cover star! Welcome to the 'Your Body, Your Rules' issue
Welcome to GLAMOUR's “Your Body, Your Rules” issue, starring Victoria’s Secret Angel, Stella Maxwell. Each month we’ll be publishing an issue online with more of the great content you love. We ask our cover star to present themselves exactly how they’d like to be seen and allow them to photograph and art direct their very own shoot – all on mobile. In Stella’s case, she’s chosen to be photographed on the streets of New York, in her Victoria’s Secret’s angel wings, a skin tight black PVC bralette and leggings, surrounded by paparazzi. She describes wearing them as 'confidence building' and 'empowering.'

Empowering isn’t necessarily a word we’d use to describe a catwalk show featuring women sashaying in underwear. And yet, the Victoria’s Secret Show is the most-watched fashion spectacle in the world, its stars hailed as bastions of fitness as the models push their bodies to the max of their ability and have been described as representing ‘the perfect body’.

The show is loved by men and women equally but what does 'perfect' even look like anyway? This is the question of the body positivity movement currently in full swing, pushing for more diversity and inclusivity in sizing. And more than anything, a movement helping women – regardless of their shape to size – to love the way they are, which is something that we at GLAMOUR always champion. We feel the Victoria’s Secret body should be admired and accepted as a body type to be celebrated, as well as respected as one of fitness and dedication to training.

Stella Maxwell has strong opinions on this and gives GLAMOUR an exclusive insight into what it’s really like training for the Victoria’s Secret show. Plus, we discuss why there's no longer a normal body type, what men think about underwear and how our Deputy Beauty Editor learnt to finally see past her body hang-ups age 27. Enjoy...
