Here's Monday's Beyond the Box Score episode recorded with Adam and Dan, if you missed that. And here's Beyond the Box Score part two! |
Week 16 Waiver Wire |
|
|
Waiver Wire |
Quarterback |
Drake Maye -- You know the drill. We live and die by Maye here. He's QB14 in my Week 16 rankings. He has finished as a top-20 Fantasy QB in six-straight games. |
Aaron Rodgers, Cooper Rush, and Aidan O'Connell are also options. Mac Jones is an option. Sure, Mason Rudolph is an option. Carson Wentz, maybe! If you're the New York Giants, Tim Boyle might be an option. Week 16, gotta love it! |
Running Back |
Tyjae Spears -- Another example of staying ahead of the waiver wire at the RB position, Spears looks like a potential league-winner if Tony Pollard is not able to go. Fill-in running backs can swing leagues! It hasn't been the case often this year, as the RB position has been healthier than ever. But I am always looking to stash back-up running backs if I have space available. In any leagues where I had a first-round bye, I cut bait on bench players I didn't think I would need for Week 16 and picked up the likes of Ray Davis, Kendre Miller, even Antonio Gibson. And the Miller pick-up may end up being one that helps me! |
Kimani Vidal -- He just straight-up played more than Gus Edwards in Week 15. He's an interesting player to stash; maybe we see the rookie get more work on the ground in Week 16. |
|
Kendre Miller -- The Saints have the lowest Vegas-implied point total for Week 16, at a lowly 14 expected points. Even if Miller fills in for Alvin Kamara, we might be best served to temper expectations. This is one of the lowest implied totals for any team all year. |
Other stashes, in order of how I'd prioritize adding/holding them: |
Blake Corum Ray Davis Khalil Herbert Cam Akers Jaylen Wright Chris Brooks (he plays more on passing downs lately, would be a split if Josh Jacobs went down) Emanuel Wilson (he has four rush attempts to two for Brooks over the past two games) |
Wide Receiver |
There is almost nothing on the WR waiver wire in Week 16. Below, you'll see who I have ranked the highest for Week 16 among wide receivers under the 50% rostered rate: |
Jalen McMillan (27% rostered - WR46 in my rankings) Jalen Coker (4% rostered - WR47) Rashod Bateman (34% - WR48) Calvin Austin (9% - WR52) |
Tight End |
Brenton Strange -- League-winner alert? Maybe if you're coming off of losing Taysom Hill and then Zach Ertz in a league where you drafted Kyle Pitts like me. Strange was picked in Round 2 in 2023 and has shown some flashes. He saw 12 targets in Week 15! |
