Good morning.

Speaking on WCCO-AM Radio in the Twin Cities this morning Governor Walz said he was concerned that the state may get as much as 40 percent less vaccine in the first shipments than it initially expected.

In the interview Walz noted that with a second vaccine expected to be approved the flow of vaccine to the state should improve quickly. He says the Minnesota vaccine distribution is a model for the nation, but it needs the Federal government to distribute the supply.

MPR News will have more on this developing story today.

Three days after the Electoral College affirmed the election outcome, Minnesota Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer still refuses to call Joe Biden the president-elect.

Emmer was pressed on the point Thursday during a forum convened by the Economic Club of Minnesota. He acknowledged the Electoral College has certified Biden's win over President Donald Trump but added that the process is not over.

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency on Thursday delivered an ominous warning about a major computer intrusion, saying it "poses a grave risk" to federal, state and local governments as well as private companies and organizations.

The Trump administration had said relatively little since the hack on government computers at multiple agencies was first announced last weekend.

But the CISA, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security, offered a broad overview in its latest comments. The agency noted the attack began around March and is still ongoing — meaning the malware that's been placed on computers may still be capturing valuable information.
