| | | | Wind(ing) up MD's workforce Happy middle of the week, Baltimore. Today, there's some news for the local wind industry. According to a US Department of Commerce announcement today, the Maryland Department of Labor received over $22 million from the federal government through the Good Jobs Challenge and the American Rescue Plan. The proposed project focuses on building the workforce for the offshore wind industry through the creation of apprenticeship programs. In tech, we've seen success with programs run by Catalyte and other tech job training entities. How else can Maryland support workforce development with these funds? How do you get these apprenticeship opportunities to those that need them most?
