In his first Agronomic Minute segment of the season, Ken Ferrie shares populations are moving into Midwest wheat and corn crops now.

Possible problems with tough-to-control weeds, such as waterhemp, are already impacting decisions for the 2023 season. An Iowa State Extension field agronomist says farmers might need to be more aggressive in their approach.

Once the law goes into effect on Jan. 1, farm machinery manufacturers will have to provide farmers with diagnostic tools, software and documents. Independent technicians will also be able to access similar resources.
