Save the world with a knife and fork
Want to do your bit? Well, eating ethically is a pretty good place to start. And while limiting your palate to lettuce leaves and locally grown leeks might be wonderfully virtuous, there’s really no reason to restrict yourself when restaurants are serving up exceptional sustainable food that really packs a punch.

One place really going big on this is Selfridges. As part of its Project Earth sustainability initiative, aiming to change the way we shop, Selfridges is inviting you to discover a range of delicious earth-conscious dishes now available at some of its very lovely restaurants.

Whether it’s the tasty vegan menus at The Brass Rail restaurant (including a world first vegan take on the classic salt beef Reuben), the palm oil-free afternoon tea cakes at Dolly’s Cafe or the Coombeshead Farm ancient grain organic sourdough bread, and meat sourced through regenerative agriculture at The Cornwall Project, carefully sourced ingredients are taking centre stage. Plus there’s superb plant-based vegan and vegetarian meals at the highly-regarded Helmsley + Helmsley Cafe, too.

And to drink? Selfridges’s baristas and chefs are creating hot chocolates with Cornwall-based ethical chocolate brand Chocolarder but if you fancy something stronger, head to Harry Gordon’s Bar, The Corner Restaurant or the Fount Bar for a recycled Espresso Martini. Lovely stuff.

So what are you waiting for? Time is of the essence here people.
