Hi Achternaam,

Do you ever wish you could grow food year around?

While we don't get a lot of snow where we live, we do get some cold weather, enough to curb the growing season. BUT I use some year-around growing methods to help sneak more time out of my garden. :)

If you're interested in doing the same, please check out the Year Round Gardening course!

In this class from Rick Stone, you will learn how to extend your growing season to 365 days a year, no matter where you live. Not only will you learn how to have peas in June and tomatoes in August, but you will also learn how to grow tasty veggies in your garden all year long, including the dead of winter! All using simple, inexpensive structures like mini hoop houses and cold frames.

This is a very thorough look at everything you need to know about year round gardening, with over 5 1/2 hours of content broken into very manageable pieces. Learn what crops to grow, when to plant them and what you need to do to protect your crops so that you can have something to harvest EVERY day of the year.

Canning Peppers (Hot or Sweet) - If you are canning peppers, remember they will not hold their crunch or texture. However, they are great for adding to many meals that benefit from the flavor addition, even if they don't keep their crunch!

Canning Stewed Tomatoes - I use canned stewed tomatoes for many different things, like stews, chili, and even roast. I like this recipe because it has lots of veggies.

Preparing Canned Food for Storage - You've finished canning the food in jars. Now what? Consider these important steps.

Freezing Zucchini - Have an abundance of zucchini? Don't forget that you can freeze it! (I usually freeze it grated and in cubes or French fry shapes.)
