Quick tip of the day

There’s a TikTok video going viral with a great iPhone trick. Say you answer the phone and it’s someone you know but you don’t really want to talk to them. Rather than giving some lame excuse, keep talking as normal.

Here’s where the trick comes in:

  • During the call, pull up your iPhone’s quick settings and put your phone into Airplane mode.
  • The person on the other end of the call will see “Call Failed” rather than “Call Ended.”

👋 Just like that, you’re free without hurting anyone’s feelings.

AND FINALLY ...

UAE’s Liwa Oasis is the largest oasis in the Arabian Peninsula. You can explore it with Google Maps. 🏜️ Filming the beautiful dunes was such a huge effort that Google needed some special help. More specifically, non-human help. They enlisted camels.

Google’s Najeeb Jarrar said they fashioned a camera atop a camel, which filmed the surroundings as it watched. “Using camels for the collection allowed us to collect authentic imagery and minimize our disruption of this fragile environment,” he said. 🐫
