AND FINALLY ...In 1996, a man broke into a New Zealand radio station. He held the staff hostage, claiming he had a bomb, and he demanded they play a marathon of a particular song. According to AP News, he wanted to play this song to “tell people how he felt.” The song was … wait for it … “Rainbow Connection” by The Muppets. Although the 21-year-old intruder held the radio station manager hostage, he didn't get his song. Police quickly detained the man, and bomb experts said he was bluffing. He had no bomb — just a burning passion for The Muppets. 🐸 🐷 |
