Christies Beach: Beach Clean Up |
The Sea Shepherd Marine Debris Campaign is hosting another beach cleanup. They have requested that attendees bring strong gloves, buckets and tongs to collect the rubbish with, but there will be some available to borrow on the day. The Australian Earth Laws Alliance (AELA) and the Conservation Council of South Australia are hosting an interactive workshop to discuss the problems caused by unsustainable consumption and map out collective strategies for reducing consumption in Australia. This is the second in a national series of workshops and publications being coordinated by AELA as part of their "Living within our Ecological Limits" Program. The ideas, case studies and recommendations generated by participants will form part of a major publication series, aimed at supporting civil society initiatives and influencing public policy.
