Good morning! We need back up. Extra tissues that is. Manu’s jersey has been in the AT&T Center’s rafters for less than 24 hours and we’re a little teary-eyed today. If you missed Manu’s jersey retirement ceremony, we’re looking back at an emotional evening on GMSA.

While reading the KSAT.com story about the ceremony, I got a lump in my throat. In the first half hour of GMSA, we played sound bites that had Leslie in tears. Join us this morning as we celebrate an amazing chapter in local sports history.

Also, don’t forget to go dig your coat back out of the closet. Mike says big changes are coming temperature-wise this weekend. In other words, bundle up? That sounds bizarre for the end of March but not entirely unprecedented.

Manu Ginobili wore his heart on his sleeve during his international and NBA career so it was fitting his jersey retirement ceremony was just as emotional and heartfelt. The San Antonio Spurs officially retired Ginobili’s No. 20 jersey Thursday night. Ginobili became the ninth player in franchise history to receive the honor.
