Tune In!

This Weekend:
Innovative Mexican Chefs
New season of Goodtaste with Tanji starts September 15th!
Take a Shot
Fonda San Miguel has been considered one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in the country for over 40 years. Founding chef Miguel Ravago, who passed away last year, has been credited as the first to bring Mexican food to Austin, such as chicken in mole poblano. Bonus: they have one of the best tequila lists in town.
Piece of Cake
Dig in to traditional Mexican cantina-style dining with a view overlooking San Antonio at Aldaco's. 'La Maestra', Blanca Aldaco, mixes up one of the best Margaritas in Texas while her kitchen turns out classics like Chile Rellenos . Save room for the famous Pastel Tres Leches, too. Blanca was the first person to bring it to South Texas. Get the recipe here!
Fajita Fiesta
Ninfa's on Navigation in Houston is said to be the birthplace of the fajita. 'Mama' Ninfa Laurenzo created the sizzling dish 40 years ago, along with her to-die-for "Green Sauce." Now adding more modern options, they make the most of Texas' superb seafood with dishes like the Diablo Shrimp tacos.
