Dear friends,

We are very excited to share a seven-minute trailer of our work-in-progress feature documentary Seats at the Table.  For the past seven years university students have been visiting a juvenile correctional center in Virginia to discuss classic works of Russian Literature with facility residents.

Our film will be an inspiring portrait of what is achieved in this unique classroom experience.

Here's the link to the trailer:  https://vimeo.com/190873153

***Please note that per the agreement with the correctional center we are required to blur the faces of the residents in any film trailer or photographic image used for publicity purposes.  In the final film this will not be the case.***

Our mission is to inspire others through this positive example of the potential that exists in every classroom while also presenting a model that can be replicated in communities around the world, similar to our collaborative efforts with teacher John Hunter and his World Peace Game through our film World Peace and other 4th-Grade Achievements.

Filming of Seats at the Table has been completed and we are very much in need of financial support to edit the film.  You can help us in two ways.

1.Make a tax-deductible donation:  http://www.rosaliafilms.com/ifp/

2. Share this film trailer of Seats at the Table with any interested friends and colleagues.  Like our work with World Peace and other 4th-Grade Achievements, we are very much dependent on the help of friends in sharing the good work portrayed in our films.

Here's a link to a television interview of Professor Andrew Kaufman and myself regarding this project from the program Inside Charlottesville: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En5IKbgpbNA

Thank you so much for your interest in and support of our work.

Sincerely,

Chris Farina – Rosalia Films

The Books Behind Bars course taught by University of Virginia Professor Andrew Kaufman brings together university students and incarcerated youth of a juvenile correctional center through the study of great works of Russian Literature.

Kaufman has been teaching this class for the past seven years, and it is truly a transformative experience for both sets of students.

In order to move forward, fund-raising is now being conducted to ensure the film's completion.  Please consider helping us with a tax-deductible contribution.
