Legislation & Regulation
The Chicago Fed National Activity Index declined to -0.03 in January from 0.18 in December, with a negative reading suggesting that economic growth was under the long-term average. The decline was attributed to decreased activity in production, personal consumption and housing. Despite January's decrease, the index's three-month moving average rose.
