Part of the mission at the Webby Awards is to inspire the people and teams making great work by exploring the most important trends that are changing the future of the Internet .

This week they are proud to introduce Way Too New, their annual thought leadership series which includes virtual community events, editorial interviews and the coveted Webby Talks presentation program.

This year’s Way Too New trend looks at the unprecedented explosion of online innovation loaded with examples, insights, and commentary from industry leaders building our digital future. Informed by survey results from over 3,000 American consumers performed by YouGov, and three months of research by the Webby Awards team including a review of the rising trends from 13,500 submissions to last year’s Webbys.

The series includes events and editorial programming to explore how recent innovations on the Internet are facilitating more connected and impactful experiences, across gaming and virtual worlds, live video and commerce, immersive events, and more. Select events in collaboration with our partners that will be open to our community. The very first community event will be on Wednesday, October 27th in partnership with Podcast Movement.
