| REMOTE VISIT PARTICIPATION As we work to stop the spread of Coronavirus, we are temporarily limiting visitors in our offices. We understand that you want your loved ones and caregivers to be part of your visit. Cell phone service in our exam rooms can be spotty for voice calls, but we have tested a few apps (WhatsApp and FaceTime) that work better. Here are some free apps you can use to keep your family and caregivers involved in your visit, if you both have smartphones. |
|
| |
HOW TO FIND THE APPS To find the apps, look in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your phone. WhatsApp works with any type of smartphone and any carrier. FaceTime only works if both patient and family/caregiver have iPhones. |

With either of these free apps on your phone, you can connect with your family or caregiver while in the exam room with the physician, and they can participate in the visit. This works best when connected to wifi. Go to: Settings, then Wi-Fi, then under networks, select “other.” Type in our network name: necsguest. There is no password. |

BEFORE YOU COME TO SEE US: We are asking all NECS patients to answer these questions before they come in for an office visit: 1. Do you have a cough? 2. Do you have a fever? 3. Are you having difficulty breathing? 4. Have you had contact with someone who has been exposed to, or tested positive for, COVID-19? If you answered YES to any of these questions, please call our office at 207-303-3300 before coming in for your visit. We can help determine the right course of action for you, and limit the spread of infection. |
