Dear John,
Together we are facing unprecedented hard times, which Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda predicted. There is great uncertainty, but we stand united with profound faith in God and Guru. As Ananda’s Spiritual Directors Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi wrote in their recent email, “In times like these, the greatest gifts [of God and Guru] are the inner peace of meditation, guidance about right attitudes, and their grace to protect us.”
People around the world are searching for answers.
We are here to give hope.
Our teachings prepare us to respond heroically to every situation. Now is the time to live and share the practical teachings of this path in every aspect of life. This is a global opportunity for spiritual growth.
Ananda has closed our physical doors and moved everything online. This is an area of strength for Ananda!
Every hour of every day, personal spiritual support is available. You can attend live and recorded online activities and classes: healing prayers, group meditations, chanting, singing, affirmations, classes, yoga, virtual community, book studies, and Sunday services.
As part of our greater Ananda family, we want to keep you informed about our financial needs.
Ananda Outreach Ministries budgeted for 2020 to raise $1 million in donations to support outreach efforts. Other key revenue sources that are closed or canceled will result in revenue losses of over $1.5 million. How quickly the economy will recover is unknown at this point. It will take time for people to regain employment and trust again. These factors will impact our ability to serve.
Ananda’s finance committee has taken steps to mitigate short- and long-term challenges. We have overcome financial challenges in times past. We are confident we will succeed again. Your ongoing support is critical for Ananda.
