CBS Sports Football Pick Six Newsletter

The 53rd Super Bowl is just DAYS AWAY so let's stop dragging our feet and get picking. Jason La Canfora says it'll be Pats and it won't be close (he just doesn't think the Rams will see the ball a lot), while Pete Prisco and Jamey Eisenberg break down prop bets and even Fantasy possibilities. Director Peter Berg also joins me on a whirlwind day in Atlanta.
Unless you're a Pats fan, you're probably pretty tired of a team that's been in half of the last 18 Super Bowls. But while you might admit Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are the GOATs, Jason La Canfora says you're probably still not giving them enough credit. If you really sit down and think about these stats, they'll blow your mind.
The Redskins are a real wild card. Alex Smith's probably not playing next season, and Chris Trapasso says Drew Lock would be a bad fit schematically in Jay Gruden's offense. So what do they do? They SWING FOR THE FENCES. Trap says they trade up for Kyler Murray, and you should see who goes top four after a big Senior Bowl.

Pete Prisco was actually there that day in New Orleans when the Patriots dynasty was born 17 years ago (Pete's old). He saw Bill Belichick come up with a plan that beat the Greatest Show on Turf, so do you think he's picking the Rams now? The answer is no, and here's why Pete thinks this game will be all about Belichick as well.
There's no blueprint for how teams build a championship roster. Some Super Bowl teams have had low-cost QBs on rookie deals, while others have spent big on signal-callers. Joel Corry dove into the Pats and Rams numbers and revealed exactly where their money was spent, and while QB's an obvious huge difference, their game plan was similar at other spots.
I'll admit, R.J. White is pretty good at making NFL picks. R.J.'s riding a 56-36 HEATER on all games ATS, and he's got an insane 20-6 mark on the Rams the last two seasons, which makes me wonder if he's been going to L.A. every week without telling us. You're probably going to want to see R.J.'s Super Bowl pick, and it's right here.
Aaron Donald is set to become the second player in NFL history with more than 20 sacks to play in a Super Bowl (the other was LAWRENCE TAYLOR). He's a scary player to face, and Jamey Eisenberg talked to players from around the NFL to find out exactly what it's like.
