Channel24's International News Editor, Bashiera Parker, recently caught up with Millie Bobby Brown to chat about her new film, Enola Holmes.
Millie Bobby Brown always knew she wanted to play Enola Holmes.
The 16-year-old, along with sister Paige, discovered the mystery novels by Nancy Springer and with the help of their parents approached Legendary Pictures who quickly jumped on board.
"We leapt at the opportunity to bring a female lens to Sherlock Holmes, and it felt timely: It may be a story set in the Victorian era, but it's about a girl who is trying to find her path, a girl who is trying to find her power in the world," recalls Producer and Legendary Vice Chairman, Mary Parent.
The game was afoot.
"I didn't want anyone else to have her," Millie tells me of Enola Holmes during our Zoom chat, that started with me revealing my fangirl status all-too-soon as the Stranger Things star mentioned she hoped she had fans back in South Africa.
"Yeah, I'm going to come visit you. We're going to get lunch!" she laughed.
