The Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery are reopening with continued health and safety measures in place. Free timed-entry passes are now available and are required for both buildings.Reserve your passes today.

Explore the landmark exhibitions Alexander von Humboldt and the United States: Art, Nature, and Culture and ¡Printing the Revolution! The Rise and Impact of Chicano Graphics, 1965 to Now, currently on view at the main building. Visit the Renwick Gallery and seek solace with Forces of Nature: Renwick Invitational 2020. Renwick Gallery
Wednesday through Sunday, 10 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
Accessible entrance on 17th Street at Pennsylvania Avenue NW

Health and Safety Measures
To keep us all safe, and to support efforts to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we have limited capacity and safety measures in place at SAAM and our Renwick Gallery. Please review the important information below as you plan your visit.

• Visitors to SAAM’s main building and the Renwick Gallery, regardless of age, must have a free, timed-entry pass to enter.  
• Face coverings are required for all visitors over the age of 2.
• Visitors must maintain a safe social distance at all times.
• Hand sanitizing stations and enhanced cleaning procedures are in place to protect the health of all visitors and staff.
• Visitors who are sick or do not feel well should please stay home.
• We encourage you to limit the number of personal belongings and bags you bring to SAAM and the Renwick Gallery. Please note that we do not offer coat check or bag storage at this time.
