Today, the Supreme Court heard arguments in a case could gut Roe v. Wade and undermine the constitutional right to an abortion.

Republicans have been working toward this for decades, and after Trump and Mitch McConnell filled the Supreme Court with a right-wing conservative majority, we knew it was only a matter of time until they launched another attempt to overturn Roe.

That's why here in Oregon, Democrats passed the Reproductive Health Equity Act in 2017, codifying Roe v. Wade protections into Oregon law. And that's why we work so hard to keep electing Democrats who won't stop fighting to protect access to reproductive health care.

A decision is expected in today's case by early next summer, just months before the critical 2022 midterm elections. If Roe v. Wade is struck down, it's expected that abortion rights will be dismantled in more than two dozen states.

With an open seat Governor's race and our majorities in the Oregon House and Senate on the line, our constitutional right to an abortion is on the ballot.
