South Australia's Australian of the Year finalist Tanya Hosch live on Instagram |
|
ABC Newsreader Emma Rebellato interviewed Tanya Hosch live on Instagram this week. Ms Hosch, the AFL Inclusion and Social Policy General Manager, has been credited with leading "visionary" change inside one of the nation's largest sporting bodies, as the first Indigenous person, and the second woman, on the AFL's executive leadership team. Ms Hosch said she debated whether to accept the nomination as South Australia's Australian of the Year. "The reason that I did is I like to be in the room having the conversation, and this is going to give me the opportunity — and has given me an opportunity — to do that." See more of the 2021 Australian of the Year finalists and join us in celebrating their achievements. |
