Plus, common symptoms of the UK variant.

Lately, every ounce of mental energy I have outside of work (and sometimes even at work) has been devoted to keeping tabs on the vaccine rollout. Each shot in another arm brings us a little closer toward normalcy.
But just because the end is so tantalizingly close doesn't mean we can relax our resolve. I want to so badly and I'm sure you do, too. Unfortunately we need to be more vigilant than ever. Some experts say that means wearing two face masks. Here's why and how to double mask properly.
Senior reporter Catherine Pearson perfectly captured this crossroads we are at right now in a piece this week that's also worth a read. It beautifully explains why we can't give into our pandemic fatigue, even if it feels somewhat safe to do so.
The end is in sight, but it's not here yet. Keep staying smart and healthy!

Got a spare minute? Use it to change your life. Our "A Minute And Change" series will help you become happier, healthier and more productive by doing one thing a little differently. This week's tip comes from Kristin Gernon, a behavioral health specialist, on how to make your social media feeds a little better for your mental health:
It’s important to be intentional about what you’re seeking out. App algorithms feed you more of the content you’re already looking at, so instead of doomscrolling through the news all the time, mix in some inspirational quotes, healthy recipes, cute puppies or whatever else makes you smile. |
