A changing landscape Social media giant LinkedIn takes a serious interest in wealth, we found out this week, when Harriet O’Brien talked to Ioanna Erhan Global Co-Head of Financial Services and Director of Marketing Solutions at LinkedIn, about the findings of LinkedIn’s new report on the opportunities in the wealth industry.
Its newly published Wealth Management Report – A Changing Landscape, A Unique Opportunity - explores the implications of the wealth migration currently underway between generations and looks at the routes available to access a savvy new generation of investors.
The moment to capture wealth gen transfer is now, Erhan says. "This is a great moment for wealth managers to step in," says Erhan. LinkedIn’s report, she explains, taps into the shifting profile of retail investors and highlights the ways in which wealth management companies can appeal to new audiences and create
marketing strategies to drive engagement.
And keeping it green is uppermost in the mind of Lily Turnbull, Head of ESG, at C2 Cyber, who writes that last year a record USD649 billion was invested in ESG focused funds worldwide, up from the USD542 billion in 2020, which means ESG funds now account for 10 per cent of global fund assets. But, she warns, 49 per cent of investors say a lack of robust ESG data is holding back their organisation’s further adoption of ESG.
The best solution is to work with an ESG data provider that is aligned with international frameworks and standards, to perform a thorough, accurate and cost effective ESG audit, Turnbull says.
