| Arby's Put Its Hat on Rival Mascots in a Fashion-Forward Power Move | |
| | Sure, Burger King is the clown-crushing master of trolling (if you need a refresher on that front, you should check out my recap of seven campaigns where BK brutalized McDonald's) and Wendy's is the brand world's undisputed Mean Queen of Twitter. But I'd argue Arby's still comes out on top when it comes to true craftsmanship in social, thanks largely to agency Moxie's long-running work on Instagram and other platforms. Usually that content takes the form of meticulously assembled and deeply geeky references to anime or video games, but this week they tried something a bit different. In a fun image gallery created for National Hat Day (apparently a thing?), Arby's put its ionic hat on its competitors' famous mascots. The copy: "Let’s be honest, our hat makes everyone look good."
