OSHA’s COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard: An EVS-Focused Overview | Free Webinar - September 15 Date: Wednesday, September 15, 2021 Time: 01:00 - 02:00 PM EDT Duration: 1 Hour COVID-19 continues to present a grave danger to healthcare workers. OSHA defines a grave danger as incurable, permanent, or non-fleeting health consequences of exposure to the virus. EVS workers are classified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as healthcare workers along with security, registration, maintenance, dietary, and contractors.
OSHA’s Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) was published in the Federal Register on June 21, 2021 and will be in effect for six months. At that time, the ETS could be extended, modified, or a permanent infectious disease standard may be authorized by OSHA. State-OSHA plans must be at least as restrictive as the federal plan.
After viewing this program, attendees will be able to: - Present an overview of the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS)
- Review OSHA risk assessment criteria
- List the elements included in the COVID-19 ETS/COVID-19 Plan
- Discuss timeline for implementation and enforcement
