Alcami Corp. to expand North Charleston operations

Pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturer Alcami Corp. plans to expand its North Charleston operations with a $17 million investment. Alcami plans to add approximately 6,000 square feet to its facility at 4221 Faber Place Drive, which the company says will allow for the creation of 30 new jobs.

Santee Cooper approves 2020 budget, but details are scarce

Details might reveal parts of a confidential plan to keep Santee Cooper under state control, the utility said. That plan is one of several proposals the General Assembly will consider in 2020 in deciding whether to sell Santee Cooper.

S.C. Department of Revenue issues nearly $64M in rebates

The S.C. Department of Revenue said it sent more than 1.2 million $50 rebate checks to qualified taxpayers. The checks stemmed from the state’s payout for the Mega Millions jackpot winner drawing last October.
