Citadel to create SC’s first CyberCorps scholarship program

The Citadel will create the first CyberCorps Scholarship for Service program using a $2.8 million grant from the National Science Foundation. Scholarships will be given to undergraduate students in cybersecurity-related majors, and upon graduation, recipients must seek cyber jobs with government entities.

Good Business Summit to focus on sustainability

Lowcountry Local First’s annual business conference, set for Feb. 6 at Charleston Music Hall, will include more tactical sessions than previous conferences, as well as a focus on “business as a force for good.” The keynote speaker is Patagonia company philosopher Vincent Stanley.

Helping Out

Thrivent has award $50,829 to Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County as part of the two organizations’ national partnership. The groups will work on home construction for a family in Hanahan, alongside several local churches.
