New initiative meant to create pipeline of principals

The Tri-County Cradle to Career Collaborative and the Low Country Education Consortium have launched the Low Country Center for Educational Leadership to create a pipeline of trained and certified principal candidates.

Choate Construction names Brewer president

Choate Construction Co. has named Matt Brewer, formerly the division manager of Choate Charleston, as president of the company. Brewer has been with Choate since 2004. He assumes the role of president from Dave Priester, who will remain CEO.

Helping Out

The Ark, Alzheimer’s Family Support Services will host its 10th annual Dancing with The Ark’s Stars fundraising event on March 14. All proceeds will go toward the organization, which provides services for families dealing with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia.
