Charleston health care consultant partners with imaging firm

Knowledge Capital Group, a boutique health care consulting company in Charleston, has partnered with an imaging firm that specializes in consolidating electronic health records.

USDA helps covers capital expenses for 22 S.C. farms

Locally, Champney’s Blueberry Farm is receiving $47,962 to assist with the packaging, storage, transport and marketing. Fire Ant Farms LLC is getting $49,999 to offset operational expenses and hire employees. Rooting Down Farms LLC will receive $150,000 for marketing and sales of leafy greens and herbs. And Barrier Island Oyster Co. LLC is receiving $250,000 to increase sales of oysters to local restaurants, retailers and customers.

School districts receive $33 million in PPE and supplies

All 81 public school districts across the state now have access to personal protective equipment and supplies from the S.C. Department of Education. The allocation of state Coronavirus Relief Funds was approved by the General Assembly after it gave the department flexibility to use funds to purchase masks, gloves, wipes, hand sanitizer, face shields and other supplies, according to a news release.
