Spartanburg-based Mobile Communications America Inc. has expanded its services following a recent acquisition of CodeLynx, Inc., a security systems and custom software engineering solutions firm from North Charleston.

Laurel Island project puts focus on affordable housing in perpetuity

Upon completion of the Laurel Island development, 10% of the overall 4,260 rentable residential units will be affordable housing for Charleston’s working class. Developer Robert Clement said the project's focus on affordable housing has gotten overshadowed in the approval process.
