Century Aluminum rebuilds with 3-year power agreement

After the Mount Holly aluminum smelter warned it would have to close if Santee Cooper couldn’t offer better power rates, the two have come to an agreement on a three-year contract that begins April 1. The company's president called the agreement a “good balance” for the both parties.

Wando Welch Terminal welcomes 2 more cranes

The S.C. Ports Authority is commissioning two more cranes that arrived at the terminal last week. That brings the terminal’s total to 13, with two more expected by the end of the year.
