Urban Electric to expand North Charleston operations

The Urban Electric Co., an artisan lighting fixture designer and manufacturer, is expanding its Charleston County operations with a $10.7 million investment expected to create about 180 jobs. The company’s expansion includes a new facility in North Charleston’s Navy Yard that will serve as company headquarters and showroom.

Dominion to ask for rate increase next year

Dominion Energy South Carolina is planning to ask state regulators to approve a rate increase in 2020. Dominion Energy's president and CEO said during the company will begin the filing process for increasing rates in mid-2020.
