Throughout the 2023 season, the Florida Collegiate Summer League will honor two players at the conclusion of each week. There will be an FCSL Player of the Week and an FCSL Pitcher of the Week. 

This week's honors will be taken home by Sanford River Rats outfielder Connor Hujsak (Mississippi State) and pitcher Malachi Witherspoon (Northwest Florida State). 

It has been a perfect start for the Sanford River Rats. The Rats remain undefeated with an 8-0 record. DeLand and Winter Garden are tied for second, both with winning records. Despite the early 0-5 start, the Orlando Snappers are on a three game winning streak putting them ahead of the Lightning and Diamond Dawgs.
