Life Makeover for the Year 2016
Week 11 - Hope and healing for those who are grieving.
Dear John,

If you’re in the Philadelphia area, mark your calendar for another “Self Care Boot Camp” I’ll be leading on Friday, September 16th.  This program is for the general public and for those coaches who would like to take their skills to a whole new level.

You can read all about the program here.

Have a wonderful week!

Love,
Cheryl

Hope and healing for those who are grieving.

Today is one of my favorite times of the year when we turn the clocks ahead and enjoy an extra hour of light at the end of the day.

It always feels like a sunny invitation to emerge from the dim world of winter.

The critters seemed to have received the invite, too. As I lay here on the back deck staring up at the big, blue sky, I see two red-tailed hawks making lazy circles above my head.

And the birdsong. My goodness. I wish you could hear the chorus of chirps and coos, tweets and caws that somehow blend together to form the most appealing symphony.

I just returned from a walk where I listened to an hour-long podcast by my friend, Bob Olson, author of Answers About the Afterlife.

A few weeks ago, Bob told me he created a new podcast format designed to bring comfort and healing to people who were grieving. I hadn’t had a chance to listen to it until today and I was quite moved by the experience.

First of all, it’s a unique, attention-keeping format. Rather than interview one guest for an hour, Bob breaks the podcast into segments.

He talks about a topic related to the afterlife.
He answers audience questions about death and loss and grief.
He shares meaningful, teaching stories from his own life.

And he does something else I think is really compelling.

He invites listeners to record remarkable stories of contact with loved ones who have passed and he includes them in his show.

I don’t know about you, but I love to hear about how loved ones connect with us from the other side. I find it to be a great source of comfort when it comes to dealing with loss (not to mention the fear of death).

I just left Bob a voicemail message congratulating him on providing this new, special kind of support.

Rather than read the destructive, sensational news that fills the airwaves these days, this is the kind of uplifting media that provides hope and healing.

Bookmark AfterLifeTV.com for those times when you need a reminder that love doesn’t leave when the physical body has been laid to rest.

And, if you have a great story about connecting with a loved one after death, please share your story with Bob so we can all benefit. I know I’d love to hear it!

You can listen to the current episode of Bob’s podcast here.

And you can record your story here.

Thanks, Bob! (Now I’ll see if he reads my blog )
